For buyers
How do I book a vendor?
Find a food truck, coffee van or caterer, create your event and request quotes. Compare menus and costs, message sellers, then accept your chosen quote. Your workspace keeps the booking details together.
What will I pay?
Browsing is free. Your quote shows the vendor's price, deposit and any Yuma Book booking fee before you accept. New quotes include a 5% organiser-paid booking fee. Card checkout is available only when payments are enabled and the seller has connected Square.
Can I check food safety documents?
Sellers must provide current food safety documentation to be listed. You can request access to their private compliance documents for your event. A listing is not a guarantee of food safety or an endorsement by a regulator. Ask the seller about allergens, dietary needs and event-specific requirements.
What if plans change?
Check the cancellation terms in your quote before accepting. Contact the seller through your booking messages to discuss changes. Refunds depend on the agreed terms and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Why do some businesses say Sponsored?
Those sellers paid for 30 days of extra visibility. Sponsored listings appear ahead of ordinary results in recommended search and in a homepage showcase. Your search filters still apply. Sponsorship is separate from reviews and food safety checks.
For sellers
What do I need to be listed?
Provide your business details, menu, service area and availability. You must upload current food safety certificates, including your food business registration, in Compliance before your listing can go public. Provide your food safety supervisor certificate and other permits where required for your business or event. Keep expiry dates current.
Where do I upload my certificates?
Verify your email, open your seller workspace and choose Compliance. Upload your current food business registration as that document type. Add food safety supervisor certificates and other supporting documents too. Documents stay private; authorised organisers can request access.
Can I pay to promote my business?
A promotion costs A$29 total for 30 consecutive days. It is a one-off payment with no automatic renewal. Once payment is verified, your eligible listing gets a Sponsored label, a boost in recommended search and a place in the homepage sponsor showcase. Multiple sponsors share the showcase; bookings and a fixed position are not guaranteed.
What happens if my certificate expires during a promotion?
Your listing must remain published, unsuspended and covered by current food business registration to appear publicly. Upload a replacement before expiry. Promotion time continues while your listing is hidden. Contact support if there is a problem with a paid promotion.
How do I receive booking payments?
Connect your Australian Square account in Settings when card payments are enabled. Booking payments go through the seller's connected account; promotion payments go to Yuma Book. The price and payment status stay visible in your workspace.
